Sandware Secures Innovate UK Funding to Validate Sustainable Recovery Footwear Platform
London, UK – 1 February 2026
Sandware Ltd, a London-based footwear innovation company, has secured grant funding from Innovate UK under the Resource Efficiency for Resilience and Sustainability Feasibility Study programme.
The two-month project (1 February – 31 March 2026) will validate Sandware’s patent-pending recovery footwear platform, inspired by the biomechanical characteristics of walking barefoot on sand. The platform is designed to support post-activity recovery, rehabilitation and injury prevention through controlled instability and material responsiveness.
The feasibility study includes:
- Independent laboratory testing in collaboration with Intertek Labtest UK Ltd
- Performance and durability validation
- Sustainable material benchmarking
- Commercial pathway and scalability assessment
Marisa Rojanasingsawad, Co-Founder of Sandware Ltd, said:
“This funding enables Sandware to take a disciplined, evidence-led approach to validating our recovery footwear platform. The study strengthens our technical foundations and informs the next stage of product development and commercial scale-up.”
The project aligns with UK priorities in resource-efficient manufacturing, sustainable materials innovation and advanced product design, supporting responsible consumer product development.
